Modernong correctional facility sa Nueva Ecija, sinimulan na

Pinangunahan ng Bureau of Corrections o BuCor ang groundbreaking ng bagong correctional facility sa Palayan City, Nueva Ecija.

Nagkakahalaga ito ng 470 milyong piso at itatayo sa 60-ektaryang lupang donasyon ng pamahalaang panlalawigan.

Ayon kay BuCor Director General Gregorio Pio Catapang Jr., layunin ng proyekto na mapabuti ang kondisyon at rehabilitasyon ng Persons Deprived of Liberty alinsunod sa Republic Act 10575.

Ang pasilidad ay kayang tumanggap ng hanggang 7,500 PDLs at magkakaroon ng iba’t ibang security level, rehabilitation centers at in-facility courtrooms.

Magkakaroon din ito ng mahigpit na seguridad tulad ng perimeter fence, guard towers at modern surveillance system.

Inaasahan namang magbibigay ito ng trabaho at magpapasigla sa ekonomiya ng Palayan City.
