AROUND 200 police officers and community security aides received free medical consultations and essential medicines through a joint outreach program by the Eastern Police District (EPD) and the Filipino Indian Commerce and Welfare Society Inc. on July 30.

Held at the EPD Multi-Purpose Hall in Pasig City, the medical mission was organized by the District Community Affairs and Development Division, led by officer-in-charge Police Lt. Col. Randy C. Moratalla.

The initiative formed part of the dual celebration for EPD’s 31st Police-Community Relations Month and its 53rd founding anniversary.

Healthcare professionals from the District Medical and Dental Unit, under the leadership of Lt. Col. Elallyn Quimson, performed health assessments and distributed medications tailored to the individual healthcare needs of the beneficiaries.

Acting EPD Director Police Brig. Gen. Melecio Buslig Jr. emphasized that personnel and partner well-being remains a top priority.

Buslig noted that stakeholder support helps deliver programs that strengthen both force welfare and public trust, supporting the vision of a safer, healthier community.

The event aligns with the theme, “Sa Bagong Pilipinas, Ugnayang Pulis at Mamamayan: Tapat, Maaasahan, at Nararamdaman ng Bayan,” which highlights transparent and dependable police-community relations.

Key leaders in attendance included Tristan James Kumar, president of the Filipino Indian Commerce and Welfare Society Inc., and Police Col. Arthur A. Salida, chief of the District Directorial Staff.
