13K tablets, school supplies ipinamahagi ni PBBM sa San Juan

MAY kabuuang 13,000 tablet ang ipinamahagi ng lokal na pamahalaan ng Lungsod ng San Juan sa mga mag-aaral at ipinakita kung paano ma-access ang digital education para pasulungin ang pagkatuto ng mga estudyante.

Maliban sa mga tablet, lahat ng classroom ay kinabitan din ng 55 inches Smart TV at lahat ng mga bahay ng estudyante ay konektado gamit ang fiber optic internet connection.

Ang nasabing programa ay pinangunahan ni Pangulong Bongbong Marcos Jr kasama si Department of Education (DepEd) Secretary Sonny Angara, San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora, Special Assistant to the Mayor Rocco Zamora, Congresswoman Bel Zamora, Vice Mayor Angelo Agcaoili, at iba pang opisyal ng lokal na pamahalaan.

Nakadaupang-palad din ni Pangulong Marcos ang 105 Presidential Scholars ng lungsod na nakatanggap ng P20,000 educational assistance mula sa pamahalaang nasyunal na lubos namang pinasamalatan ng mga mag-aaral.

Isinabay na rin ng pangulo ang pamamahagi ng school bags, school supplies at mga tablet para sa K-12 mga estudyante sa San Juan bilang tugon ng pamahalaan para sa pag-papaunlad ng access sa educational resources at teknolohiya.

“Kailangan talaga na ang edukasyon ay pagandahin natin para sa ating mga kabataan. Tinutugunan natin, binibigyan natin ng diin na pagandahin ang educational system,” ang pahayag ng pangulo.

Tiniyak naman ni Mayor Zamora na patuloy ang gagawing suporta ng lokal na pamahalaan at mamumuhanan aniya ang lungsod sa edukasyon ng mga mag-aaral.

“It is truly a great honor to have you, along with all our partners from the Department of Education, our secretary, educators, learners and fellow San Juan public servants as we distribute tablets to all our 13,000 public school students in the city,” ang pahayag ni Zamora.

Ibinida rin ng punong lungsod ang libreng mga school at P.E. uniforms, Makabagong San Juan rubber shoes, emergency go bags, maple wood basketball courts sa mga eskuwelahan at mga barangay, educational assistance, incentives para sa mga honor students, graduates, at movers, at support programs para sa mga teachers, lakip na ang probisyon na one-is-to-one laptops at financial assistance.

“These efforts have helped pave the way for San Juan to be recognized as number 1, amongst all highly urbanized cities in the Philippines in functional literacy rate by the Philippine Statistics Authority with a rating of 95%,” dagdag pa ni Zamora.
