MARIKINA City 1st District Representative Marcelino “Marcy” Teodoro entered a not guilty plea on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, before the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 272 in Marikina City in connection with four counts of sexual assault.
Teodoro personally appeared during the arraignment and pre-trial conference presided over by Judge Deogracias M. Natividad at the Marikina Justice Hall, according to his legal counsel, Atty. Alma Mallonga.
Following the hearing, Mallonga confirmed that the court had conducted the arraignment and pre-trial proceedings, including the scheduling of trial dates.
She maintained that Teodoro was not guilty of the allegations.
When asked about the charges, Mallonga formally denied the accusations against her client, saying, “He did not do it.”
The lawyer also said Teodoro is prepared to comply with the court’s legal proceedings and expressed confidence in the judicial process. The trial is expected to begin later this month.
The cases stemmed from complaints filed by two female police officers who had previously been assigned as Teodoro’s close-in security personnel.
The Department of Justice (DOJ) filed the cases in court after finding probable cause to pursue charges against the lawmaker.
