Hepe ng LTFRB, suspendido dahil sa korapsyon

SINUSPINDI ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. si Teofilo Guadiz III, chair, Land
Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) dahil diumano sa korapsyon sa
ilalim ng kanyang pamumuno.


Sa isang pahayag ng Presidential Communications Office kahapon, sinabi ng Pangulo na hindi
niya kinukunsinti ang anumang paglabag sa batas sa ilalim ng kanyang administrasyon.
Kaagad siyang nagpatawag ng imbestigasyon.


“The President has ordered the suspension of LTFRB Chairman Teofilo Guadiz III pending
investigation into allegations of corruption against him… The President does not tolerate any
form of misconduct in his administration,” ayon pa sa opisyal na pahayag.


Sinabi ni Jeff Gallos Tumbado, dating LTFRB communications head, na nagsumbong ang ilang
operators na kailangang magbigay diumano ng P5 million para sa bawat prangkisa o pagpapalit
ng ruta.

Sinabi pa ni Tumbado na ang LTO regional directors ay mayroon diumanong quota ng P2
milyon isang buwan, na ipadadala sa national head office.


Hindi pa naglalabas nang official statement ang LTFRB tungkol sa isyu.
