Pamumuhunan sa PEZA investments lomobo sa 332%

ANG puhunan na tinanggap ng Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) ay lomobo sa 332
percent mula P22.48 bilyon (Enero-Hulyo 2022) tungo sa P97.16 bilyon sa unang pitong buwan
ng 2023.


Ayon kay PEZA Director-General Tereso Panga ang mga bagong pamumuhunan ay naka-project ng
US$747 milyon ng exports at makapagbubukas ng 18,407 bagong trabaho.


Sinabi pa niya na ang pagtatayo ng economic zones sa kanayunan ay magpapasigla sa ekonomiya
nito at makaaakit ng panibagong mamumuhunan.


Idiniin ni Panga na inaasahan nila na aaprubahan ng Office of the President (OP) ang mga bago at
mas malawak na economic zones sa bansa. Noong nakaraang Hulyo 25, inaprubahan ng OP ang
tatlong economic zone projects na may kabuuang pamumuhunan na P750.38 milyon.

“Among the bright prospects for the Philippines and the ecozones include our 6 to 7 percent GDP
growth target, our ascension to RCEP [Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership] and other
FTAs [free trade agreements], the 5 to 15 percent annual growth target by the industries, the
Marcos administration’s efforts to increase our credit rating and our aggressive investment
promotions,” pagtatapos ni Panga.
