IN a bid to maximize government resources and upgrade public school infrastructure, the Office of the President (OP) has transferred executive office furniture and equipment to four public schools across Rizal Province.
Managed through the OP’s Assets Management Office (AMO), the inter-agency resource reallocation aims to enhance administrative readiness and create more functional, comfortable workspaces for public school teachers and administrators.
The beneficiary institutions include San Vicente Elementary School and Doña Justa Guido Memorial School in Angono, Pag-asa National High School in Binangonan, and St. Anthony Elementary School–Lower Cuatro Annex in Cainta.
The transferred inventory features executive and clerical desks, high-back conference chairs, modular partitions, bookcases, lateral steel filing cabinets, a television, and a 14-piece collection of framed historical portraits of Philippine presidents.
Education Secretary Sonny Angara commended President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and the executive branch for supporting the Department of Education’s (DepEd) operational needs.
Secretary Angara noted that repurposing government assets ensures optimal resource utilization while directly improving working conditions for faculty and staff.
School heads across the recipient institutions expressed deep gratitude for the initiative. Principals Ma. Lourdes P. Arabit, Neldina Dela Torre, Zaldy D. Del Rosario, and Rhea Tolentino emphasized that the donated fixtures directly elevate school facilities, boost staff morale, and support institutional initiatives like St. Anthony’s “The FIXED Project.”
Rizal Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Doris D.J. Estalilla highlighted the gesture as a meaningful acknowledgment of educators’ dedication. She noted that beyond saving government funds, the donation provides teachers and students with a comfortable, conducive environment that inspires excellence in public education.
