PHILIPPINE Airlines (PAL) has issued a travel advisory offering flexible rebooking arrangements for passengers affected by adverse weather conditions disrupting flights to and from Manila.
The flag carrier announced that travelers holding confirmed tickets for flights scheduled on August 18 and 19, 2026, who are unable to proceed with their journeys, can adjust their itineraries without incurring standard fees.
Affected passengers have two main options available prior to their scheduled departure:
- Penalty-Free Rebooking: Passengers can re-ticket their flights without penalties, provided the new travel date is completed within 60 days of the original schedule.
- Travel Credit Conversion: Travelers may convert the full value of their unutilized tickets into travel credits for future use, also without fee assessments.
PAL extended these flexibility measures to passengers who were unable to take their flights on August 17 due to weather-related disruptions.
Passengers intending to proceed with travel are strongly advised to check flight statuses via the official website before leaving for the airport, allow additional transit time, and closely monitor local weather and traffic conditions.
To process rebookings or credit conversions, customers can contact PAL’s 24/7 support channels via phone, official website, or messaging apps including Messenger and WhatsApp.
In a separate update, PAL reminded travelers bound for the United States who have visited the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Uganda, or South Sudan within the last 21 days to review updated guidelines from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
The advisory complies with a U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Information Circular regarding Ebola-related travel restrictions.
Passengers affected by these entry rules are encouraged to check their travel history, ensure full regulatory compliance, and contact the airline if adjustments to their itineraries are required.
