A recent government-led trade caravan has successfully bridged the gap between rural agriculture and urban markets, generating over ₱3 million in revenue and securing major commercial partnerships for local agrarian reform beneficiaries.
The Department of Trade and Industry Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (DTI-CARP) concluded its three-day Negosyo Agraryo Mini Caravan held from June 23 to 25, 2026, at the Trade and Industry Building in Makati City.
Staged alongside the CARP anniversary celebration, the event racked up a total of ₱3,020,851 in sales.
The caravan brought together 20 on-site exhibitors from Regions 1, 2, 3, and MIMAROPA, as well as 29 off-site micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) utilizing a pre-order system.
Consumers and institutional buyers gained direct access to a diverse array of regional goods, including fresh produce, dairy, processed meats, pastries, and regional coffee.
Demand was so fierce that several exhibitors completely sold out their inventory, requiring daily restocks. Shoppers widely praised the offerings as “fresh, delicious, and affordable.”
Beyond direct-to-consumer sales, the event served as a major business-to-business platform.
A highlight of the caravan was the Business and Product Pitching session on June 25, organized alongside the Bureau of Market Development, Promotions, and One Town, One Product (BMDPO).
Local entrepreneurs pitched their value propositions to prominent institutional buyers like The Vegan Grocer, The Good Store, and The Belamy House.
Top-performing sellers from Pampanga and Bulacan led the commercial surge, helping secure key marketing agreements with major entities like The Moment Group of Restaurants and the Global Organic and Wellness Corporation.
Featured participants contributing to this success included Bantog Samahang Nayon, Patasda ARB, Mabuhay Agri Crop, RV De Dios Food Products, Lola Purings, Caviteño Isabelino, Villa Pascua, Nararagan Valley, Epiphany, Granda’s Sweets, Montey’s Food, Willy’s Cashew Nuts, John N Mico, 3 Sisters, Joyful Garden Farm, Sta. Maria Dairy, Matawe ARBs, Min’s Miraculous Mushroom, Saint Joseph, and Tiblac Farmers.
Bulk orders were also locked in from private buyers across Central Luzon and Metro Manila.
Moving forward, DTI-CARP committed to monitoring ongoing negotiations and providing technical guidance to help these agrarian entrepreneurs finalize their commercial contracts, ensuring long-term economic growth for the beneficiaries.
