Run Ortigas 2025: A fun day of running, strength and four-legged fun at Ortigas East

RUNNERS and their energetic furry friends filled the streets with energy and enthusiasm as the 4th edition of the annual Run Ortigas kicked off early Sunday, November 16, at Ortigas East.

Organized by Ortigas Land in partnership with Runrio, the premier race organizer in the Philippines, the event successfully gathered people of all ages and fitness levels from the Ortigas Community for an exciting day focused on running, fitness, and tail-wagging fun.

Race Highlights and Winners

Participants showed incredible speed and stamina on the asphalt, with the top three finishers in each category making their mark on the racecourse.

In the 16K category, the top male finisher was Mark Anthony Oximar with a time of 1:00:56, followed by Aron Fresco (1:14:11) and Joel Orlanes (1:18:20). The female champion was Maricar Camacho at 1:08:05, with Eloisa Cusi (1:09:12) and Jocelyn Elijeran (1:13:02) taking second and third place, respectively.

The 5K race saw Raisen Camba cross the finish line first for the men at 00:18:14, ahead of Kyle Kaizer Lardizabal (00:20:45) and James Rigor Celajes (00:24:37). For the women, Jonalyn Elijeran clinched the top spot with 00:24:34. Runners-up were Nicole Dominique dela Cruz (00:27:11) and Rona Raissa Gutierrez (00:27:15).

Beloved Fur Baby Category

A crowd-pleasing highlight was the 1K Fur Baby category, which celebrated the bond between pets and their human companions. The champions were Cyclone with fur dad Jojie Daga-as (00:02:57) and Chopper with fur mom Alyesa Cabanes (00:04:11).

They were followed by runners-up Mia with fur dad Ralph Velasco (00:03:12) and Atorni with fur mom Haydee Tabangay (00:04:17). Crossing the finish line in third were Bobbie with fur dad Uriah Pancho (00:04:04) and Quina with fur mom Karen Marie Robles (00:04:58).

Run Ortigas, an awardee of the Gold Stevie® for Art, Entertainment; Public Event in 2022, goes beyond the conventional race experience.

The event was a testament to the success and positive impact of Ortigas Land’s efforts to promote fitness and community engagement, demonstrating the company’s vision of building for life’s by creating memorable and meaningful experiences for the runners and their families.
