JCI isinulong ang “The One Pearl of Pasay 2024”

ISINULONG ng Junior Chamber International (JCI) Philippines ang  “The One Pearl of Pasay (TOPP) 2024” bilang pagtulong sa kababaihan at mabigyan ng kabuhayan ang piling babae kasabay ng pagdiriwang ng National Womens Month na ginanap sa Manila Room ng Elks Club, Corinthian Plaza Building, Paseo De Roxas, Makati City.

Sa Naganap na press conference, sinabi ni Maya Arcega, 2023 LO President ng JCI Perlas Pasay na layunin nilang tulungan ang mga babaeng nasa laylayan ngunit mayroong malaking ambag sa lipunang ating ginagalawan.

Nakipag-ugnayan na rin ang JCI  sa Pasay City local government unit (LGU) sa pamumuno ni Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano na aprub sa kanilang programa para sa kababaihan.

Hindi man nakarating nagbigay ng  mensahe si Pasay City Mayor Emi na suportado niya ang TOPP dahil tiyak na makakatulong ito sa mga maliliit na mamamayan para makilala ang kanilang mga nagawa para sa komunidad.

Nilinaw ni Arcega na nakipag-ugnayan na sila sa 201 barangay sa Pasay City para pumili ng nararapat na iboboto para sa TOPP.

“We have our own set of protocols, but we don’t impose,” ayon kay Arcega na kung saan sinabi nito na sasalain nila ang sinumang ihahalal ng bawat barangay.

Nilinaw naman ni Nanelyn Bontoyan-Santos, 2024 LO President ng  JCI Perlas Pasay, na layunin ng proyekto ay maglaan ng  Community Livelihod Acceleration Program (CLAP) na iikot sa komunidad para makapili ng nararapat na kababaihan na may naitutulong sa pamayanan. 

“The TOPP is a new endeavour of JCI Perlas Pasay which is geared towards recognizing and giving importance to ordinary women of Pasay City in uplifting the quality of life of their families and communities through their vigor, creativity, innovation, and determination,” ayon kay Santos.

 Paalala ng TOPP na ang pagpapadala ng nomination  ay magsisimula sa  Feb. 17, 2024 at magtatapos hanggang  March 10, 2024, magkakaroon ng screening mula March 10 hanggang 17 at ang Judging ay magaganap sa March 18 hanggang 22, 2024. 

Ang awarding ceremonies ay magaganap March 31, 2024 at ilalahad ang napiling babaeng nararapat bilang TOPP winner at bibigyan ng P15,000 Pangkabuhayan package na makakatulong sa kanilang pang-araw araw na kabuhayan at posibleng madagdagan pa ang premyong tulong pangkabuhayan.
