AI, balak gamitin vs human traffickers

MASUSING pinag-aaralan ngayon ng Bureau of Immigration (BI) ang paggamit ng Artificial
Intelligence o AI para higit na malabanan ang human trafficking pati na ang pagpasok ng mga
terorista at dayuhang kriminal sa bansa.


Sa kanyang talumpati sa Biometrics Conference sa Montreal, Canada nitong Sept.12, sinabi ni
BI Commissioner Norman Tansingco na ang paggamit ng AI sa processing ng mga dokumento
ay malaking tulong sa kagawaran at makadaragdag nang isa pang layer ng security sa
operasyon ng ahensya.


Ayon daw sa pag-aaral, magiging mas accurate na matutukoy ng AI ang mga impostor at
gumagamit nang pekeng dokumento, bago pa ito makarating sa counter ng immigration.

isinumiting dokumento.


Ayon kay Tansingco, hindi papalitan ng AI ang mga nagtatrabaho bilang immigration officers,
kundi pabibilisin pa ang trabaho nila sa pagpo-proseso ng mga dumarating na bisita sa bansa.


“Currently we are doing manual processing, and it takes 45 seconds per passenger. The e-gates
can decrease processing time to as low as 8 seconds,” pagtatapos ni Tansingco.
