Kaugnay nito, inihain ni Cagayan de Oro City Rep. Lordan Suan ang o ang “Heartbreak Recovery and Resilience Act”.


Layunin ng naturang panukala na bigyan ng “unpaid heartbreak leave” ang mga kawaning nasawi sa pag-ibig.


Ayon sa naturang panukala, labis na emotional stress at kung minsa’y may kahalong depresyon ang paghihiwalay ng magsing-irog. At naapektuhan nito hindi lamang ang personal, maging ang propesyonal na buhay ng bawat isang magkarelasyon.


“Unprocessed emotional distress can negatively impact productivity, employee morale, and workplace health… Providing employees with time and resources to recover from heartbreak can promote well-being, improve workplace performance, and reduce employee turnover,” ani Suan.


Sa ilalim ng HB No. 9931 — sa mga kawaning nasa pagitan ng 25-35 anyos, pwede silang maka-avail ng “unpaid heartbreak leave” sa loob ng dalawang araw kada taon. Sa mga may edad 36 pataas, tatlong araw kada taon.

Ayon pa sa panukala, “Employees must provide their employer written notice of their intention to take heartbreak leave at least 48 hours in advance unless exigent circumstances prevent [them from making] such notice.”


Kaugnay nito, ayon sa BraboNews research, marami na ang namatay at nagpakamatay dahil sa “Broken Heart Syndrome” (BHS) o Takotsubo cardiomyopathy na nadiskubre ni Dr. Hikaro Sato noong 1990.


Sa BHS, bigla na lamang nagkakaroon nang heart failure na kapag hindi agad nabigyan ng paunang-lunas ay maaaring mamatay ang biktima. Pagkasawi sa pag-ibig, pagkamatay ng asawa o minamahal ang pangunahing sanhi ng BHS.
