3 empleyado ng LTO na nagpuslit ng mga plaka arestado; pagtugis sa ‘pinuno’ ikinasa

INIHARAP sa media ngayong umaga ng pamunuan ng Land Transportation Office (LTO) ang tatlong mga empleyado nito na nahuling nagpupuslit ng mga di-rehistradong plaka mula sa Plate Making Plant nito sa Quezon City.

Kinilala ang mga suspek na sina Jenard Arida at Arjay Anasco, kapuwa mga embosers; at warehouse staff na si Valeriano Nerizon Labayno.

Ayon kay LTO Chief Assistant Secretary Atty. Vigor D. Mendoza II, tinutugis na nila ngayon, kasama ang Philippine National Police (PNP), ang team leader na si Allan Joker Abrigo na siyang pinaniniwalaan nilang pinuno ng grupo.

Pinapurihan naman ni Mendoza ang hepe ng Intelligence and Investigation Division ng ahensya na si Renante Militante sa maagap na pagkahuli sa mga suspek.

Sinabi ni Militante na noong isang taon pa nila minamatyagan ang grupo ng makatanggap ito ng ulat na may ipinupuslit umanong mga palaka ang grupo at napatunayan ito sa kuha ng CCTV.

“Gaya ng ipinangako natin sa taumbayan, we will not tolerate this kind of illegal activity and we will make sure that those who would dare to continue with their wrongdoings will be caught and held responsible. The arrest of these three people is proof of that,” ani Mendoza.

Idinagdag pa ni Mendoza na pinag-iingat niya si Militante dahil maliban sa binabantaan aniya ng mga suspek ang sinumang empleyado na magsusumbong, nag-aalala din siya na baka ginagamit ang mga plakang ito sa criminal activities at babalikan siya ng sindikato.

Batay sa isinagawang imbestigasyon, sinabi ni Mendoza na ibinibenta umano ng grupo ang mga ninakaw na plaka sa halagang ₱10,000 bawat isa.

Giit pa ng LTO chief na magsasagawa din sila ng hiwalay na imbestigasyon sa mga regional offices dahil mukhang naka-ugat na aniya ang ganitong kabulastugan sa mga empleyado ng ahensya at kailangang mabuwag na ito.
