4-Wheel Joyride, kakatay sa regular Taxi?

INIANUNSYO kahapon ng JoyRide Philippines, isang local ride-hailing firm ang taxi
services nito sa Metro Manila.


Magiging pareho raw ang magiging singil ng JoyRide taxi services sa regular taxi.
Bukod pa rito, sinabi ng Land Transportation Office (LTO) na pitong motorcycle ride-
hailing companies, kasama ang Grab Philippines, ang nagnanais na sumali sa extension
ng MC Taxi Pilot Study, na may tatlong kasali.


Sinabi ni LTO chief Vigor Mendoza, na ang mga aplikanteng ito ay dapat na magpatunay
na may kakayahan sila para magbigay nang maayos na taxi services. Kailangan ding
makapasa sa inspeksyon ng LTO ang kanilang traini ng facilities at garahe ng driver-
partners.

Ayon kay Vigor intensyon ng ahensya na aprubahan ang mga bagong motorcycle taxi
operator sa labas ng Metro Manila, depende sa kagustuhan ng pamahalaang lokal na
nakasasakop dito.


Hindi kinilala ni Vigor ang iba pang grupo, maliban sa Grab Philippines, na siyang
nagmamay-ari ng motorcycle taxi na Moveit.


Nagsimula noong 2019 ang MC Taxi Pilot, na sinuspindi dahil sa pandemic at ibinalik
noong 2020.

Nitong Agosto, hiniling ngTechnical Working Group, Department of Transportation ang
House Committee on Transportation, na hayaang ituloy ang “pilot study for motorcycle
taxis.”


“We are hoping to get the study [approved] this December,” pagtatapos ni Vigor.
