Ang gusali ng Post Office ay kinikilala bilang isang national landmark, na itinayo noong 1926 na may matataas na columns sa sumasalamin sa tradisyunal na neoclassical style. Ito ay labis na nasira noong World War II at muling itinayo noong 1946.

Hindi raw magtatayo ng anumang gusali sa lugar, ayon sa pamahalaang lungsod ng Maynila.
