Dapat lang na tanggalin ang floating barrier na iniligay ng ccg sa scarborough shoal – NSC

NILINAW ng National Security Council (NSC) karapatan ng Pilipinas na tanggalin ang floating
barrier na inilagay umano ng China sa Scarborough Shoal, dahil ito’y nasa loob ng 200-mile
exclusive economic zone ng bansa.


Sinipi ni NSC Asst. Director General Jonathan Malaya na suportado ito ng United Nations
Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) at ang desisyon ng Permanent Court of
Arbitration noong 2016 na pabor sa Pilipinas.


Idiniin ni Malaya na sa ilalim ng UNCLOS, may karapatan ang bansa na alisin ang inilagay na
barriers ng Chinese Coast Guard, at may karapatang ang ating mangingisda na mamalakaya
rito maski noong mga nakaraang siglo.
