PNP iimbestigahan ang umano’y ‘mistaken identity’ sa napatay na 15-anyos sa Rizal

Tututukan ng Philippine National Police-Internal Affairs Service (PNP-IAS) ang isa na naming kaso ng pulis na aksidente umanong nakapatay sa isang 15-anyos na binatilyo sa Rodriguez, Rizal Province.

Ayon kay PNP-IAS Inspector General Alfegar Triambulo, malaki ang posibilidad na maharap sa kasong administratibo at grave misconduct ang Rizal Police na sina PCpl. Arnulfo Sabillo, nakatalaga sa COMPAC 5 ng Rodriguez-PNP.

Batay sa record, naganap ang pamamaril noong August 20, 2023 bandang 12:01 ng medaling araw sa Blk 119, Phase 2, Southville 8B, Brgy. San Isidro, Rodriguez, Rizal na ikinasawi ni John Francis Ompad na kung saan ang target ay ang kapatid na si John Ace Ompad. 

Pauwi na umano si John Ace nang harangin nina Sabillo at kasabwat na Jeffrey Beluan Baguio, residente ng Brgy. San Jose Rodriguez, Rizal sa isang umanoy checkpoint subalit hindi nagtanggal ng helmet si John Ace at tumakas pa sa kaya imbes na habulin ng pulis ay pinaputukan umano na siya namang paglabas ni John Francis sa kanilang bahay at tinamaan ng bala na para sana kay John Ace.

Base sa normal na proseso, magkakaroon ng fact-finding investigation para makakuha ng mga sapat na ebidensya at testimonya para sa kaso.

Kasalukuyang nakakulong si Sabillo sa Rodriguez MPS Custodial Facility habang hinihintay ang pagdinig sa kaso.

Samantala, nakikiramay ang Rizal Provincial Office sa pamilya ng biktima at tinitiyak na gagawin ng lahat ng Rizal PNP para makuha ang hustisya sa sinapit ng binatilyong biktima.
