K-Pop concert ni Sandara sa Cebu, kinansela

KINANSELA ng organizers ang K-Pop concert ni Sandara Park na may pamagat na Awake: A
New Beginning in Cebu.


Dahil dito, ipinost ng singer-aktres sa kanyang X account (dating Instagram) na naging
malungkot daw siya at disappointed.


Nakatakda sanang ganapin ang concert sa Setyembre 23, sa City Di Mare event grounds,
South Road Properties, Cebu City.


Noong Setyembre 15, inianunsyo ng organizers ang kanselasyon nito dahil daw sa
“unforeseen circumstances” at “unpredictable weather condition.” Hindi nilinaw ng organizers
kung ano, sa partikular, ang hindi inaasahang pangyayari.


Kasama sana ni Sandara na magpi-perform sa concert ang AB6IX, Viviz, Younite, 1MILLION,
and MB Crew.


Matatandaang magmula nang nanalo si Dara sa Star Circle Quest ng ABS-CBN noong 2004,
naging mas interesado sa K-Pop at Korean telenobela ang mga Pilipino. Humanga rin ang
maraming Pilipino sa husay magsalita nang Tagalog ni Dara, at inamin niya sa isang Korean
TV show noong isang taon, na mas matatas pa siyang mag-Tagalog kaysa mag-Korean.

Siya rin ang tanging Korean singer na nakabenta ng 100,000 analog na kopya ng kanyang
unang album na EP, na sinerpitakahan na platinum ng Philippine Association of the Record
Industry (PARI).

Ayon sa kanyang post sa X noong Setyembre 17, “But there is always next time so pls I hope
you guys are ok and don’t forget I’ll always be here for my Daralings and Blackjacks.

Ang “Daralings” at “Blackjacks” ay fan base ni Sandara.


Nakadagdag pa sa frustration ni Dara ang ilang proyekto na hindi matutuloy, isa na rito ang
partisipasyon niya sa Paris Fashion Week sa taong ito.


Inaasahan ng kanyang Filipino fans na makakabawi rin ang Koreana na tila Pilipino hindi lang
sa pagsasalita kundi maging sa pagmamahal sa ating kultura at mga kababayan.
