US$1.3-T kakailanganin sa restoration ng Ukraine Trabaho para sa OFWs, open

SINABI ni Ukraine Charge’ d Affairs Denys Mykhailiuk na kakailanganin ang US$1.3
trillon para sa restoration ng bansa, pagkatapos ng digmaan.


Sa isang online TV interview kamakailan, nagpasalamat si Mykhailiuk sa suporta ng
Pilipinas sa kanilang bansa. Aniya, sana, matapos na ang digmaan sa Ukraine para
masimulan na ang restoration efforts, at welcome daw ang Filipino engineers at skilled
workers na magtrabaho roon.

Matatandaang muling kinausap sa telepono ni Ukraine President Vlodymyr Zelensky si
Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr., pitong buwan na ang nakararaan, para hilingin ang
suporta nito.


Sinabi ni Marcos kay Zelensky, “We are with you in your search for peace.”
Noong early 2023, sinabi ng US na may posibilidad na magamit sa restoration ng
Ukraine ang US$650 million cash assets ng Russia, na naka-freeze sa ilang bangko sa
Europe.

Ayon sa datus ng Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), mayroong 342 Pilipino ang
nagtatrabaho sa Ukraine, samantalang ang ilan dito ay kasal sa Ukranian nationals.


Sinabi ng taga-DFA na ayaw magpabanggit ng pangalan, na hindi muna magpapadala
ng OFWs sa Ukraine hanggang hindi pa natatapos ang digmaan.


Samantala, hinikayat ni Engr. William Juan ang mga gustong magtrabaho sa ibang
bansa na patuloy na mag-aral sa TESDA hanggang makamit ang NC4 classification,
para maging mas malaki ang sweldo at makapagtrabaho bilang supervisor sa halip na
karaniwang mang gagawa lamang.
