NON-bank financial institution South Asialink Finance Corporation (SAFC) posted ₱2.09 billion in loan disbursements for the first half of 2026, sustaining its multi-billion-peso trajectory and demonstrating steady year-over-year expansion across its core financing segments.

Disbursements averaged over ₱300 million monthly from January to June, driven primarily by strong demand for vehicle-backed loans and specialized business financing.

The company’s flagship Sangla OR/CR product—a refinancing facility for cars and trucks—served as the primary growth engine.

Releases under this category rose to ₱1.1 billion in H1 2026, up from ₱1.0 billion in the corresponding period in 2025.

Secondhand car financing generated ₱807.52 million, while commercial and light truck financing across new and secondhand units delivered ₱116.97 million in total disbursements.

“Behind these numbers are everyday Filipinos using our financial solutions to acquire vehicles, support their families, grow their businesses, and achieve their goals,” said Maricel D. Dejongoy, SAFC President and Chief Executive Officer.

“Sustaining our multi-billion-peso releases in the first half gives us strong momentum heading into the second half of 2026,” added Dejongoy.

Beyond vehicle loans, SAFC recorded significant traction in its women-focused business initiative, the JUANAsenso Loan.

Designed to support female entrepreneurs with discounted rates on asset-backed capital, the line posted ₱393.99 million in total disbursements—a 41.6% surge compared to its H2 2025 post-launch performance of ₱278.26 million.

Monthly releases for the program averaged above ₱60 million, peaking at ₱70.39 million in March.

Operational enhancements and network expansion underpinned the midyear operational figures, according to SAFC Chief Operating Officer Azenith S. Cabrera, who cited credit process optimizations and nationwide branch expansion as primary drivers.

To mark the performance, SAFC convened its 2026 Midyear Sales Excellence Awards under the theme “ALAB: Fueling Momentum for Brighter Futures,” distributing nearly ₱1 million in cash incentives to over 50 top-performing Loan Advisors, Dealer Partners, and Enterprise Partners.

Norvyn V. Aloro, SAFC Group Head for Marketing, attributed the firm’s growth to expanding customer confidence in practical financial products.

He expressed gratitude to both clients and sales partners for driving this momentum, adding that the company aims to build on this strong foundation in the coming months.

Heading into the second half of 2026, SAFC plans to broaden its provincial branch coverage, expand digital acquisition channels, and scale inclusive products like JUANAsenso across target markets nationwide.
