NABISTO ang ilegal na bentahan ng liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) sa Rodriguez, Rizal matapos magsagawa ng test-buy operations ang mga otoridad noong Miyerkules, Mayo 6, 2026.

Ayon sa report ni Lt. Col. Arwyn Derilo Gaffud, chief of police ng Rodriguez Municipal Police Station kay PCol. Eleazar Barber Jr., provincial director ng Rizal Police Provincial Office (Rizal PPO), aabot sa P8,481,000 halaga ng mga kagamitan ang nakumpiska at tatlo katao ang naaresto.

Kinilala ang mga suspek na sina “Elvira,” 51; “Ruth,” 36; at “Rodel,” 26 ng aktuwal na nagbebenta ng LPG sa Sitio Harangan, Brgy. San Isidro, ayon sa Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU).

Kumpiskado mula sa mga suspek ang 11-kilogram ng LPG tank; isang 2.7-kilogram LPG tank na ginagamit sa operasyon.

Nakuha rin sa kanila ang 248 piraso ng basiyong 11-kilogram LPG cylinders, 22 piraso ng 2.7-kilogram LPG cylinders, dalawang storage tanks, at dalawang bullet trailers.

“Ang ganitong uri ng operasyon ay patunay na hindi natin kukunsintihin ang mga gawaing naglalagay sa panganib sa ating komunidad,” ang pahayag ni Barber. Kasalukuyang nasa kustodiya na ng pulisya ang mga suspek at sasampahan ng kaso na paglabag sa Republic Act 11592, o kilala sa tawag na LPG Industry Regulation Act.
