32,000 Kotse, motorsiklo nairehistro na sa LTO-NCR

UMABOT sa mahigit 32,000 na hindi-rehistradong kotse at motorsiklo ang nairehistro
na Land Transportation Office-National Capital Region (LTO-NCR) simula sa Enero 1-23
ng 2024.


Ayon kay Regional Director Roque Verzosa, III LTO-NCR, may kabuuang 11,745 iba’t
ibang sasakyan at 20,625 na motorsiklo ang nairehistro hanggang nitong Martes.

Ang hakbang ay bunga ng pinaigting na operasyon ng LTO-NCR laban sa mga unregistered vehicles.


“This could be attributed to our intensified law enforcement operation against unregistered motor vehicles. Good job po sa RLES at sa DLETs (Regional at District Law Enforcement Teams) natin,” ayon kay Verzosa.


Kaugnay ng ‘No Registration No Travel’ policy, nilinaw ni Versoza na patuloy nilang gagawin ang operasyon laban sa mga hindi rehistradong sasakyan sa buong taon.

Matatandaan na noong Nobyembre 2023, mahigit sa 24.7 milyong mga delingkwenteng sasakyan — na karamihan ay motorsiklo — ang hindi rehistrado.


Sinabi noon ni LTO Chief Vigor Mendoza II na dumadaan sa masusing inspeksyon ang bawat sasakyan bago mairehistro. Ito ay upang mabigyan daw ng proteksyon hindi
lamang ang driver at pasahero nito, kundi pati na rin ang publiko sa aksidente na
pwedeng mangyari dahil sa depektibong sasakyan.
