Pinay nurse, nasawi sa Israel; hindi iniwan ang Pasyente

NASAWI ang isang Filipina nurse sa gitna ng digmaan sa pagitan ng Israel at Hamas group, dahil sa pagtanggi nitong iwan ang kanyang matandang pasyente, ayon sa opisyal ng Israel.


Ayon kay Fleur Hassan-Nahoum, Deputy Mayor ng Jerusalem nitong Oktubre 11, si Angeline ay isang nurse mula sa Pilipinas na nag-aalaga sa kanyang matandang pasyente na si Nira, sa Kibbutz Kfar Gaza.


“Despite having a chance to flee the Hamas terror attacks, Angeline showed unbelievable humanity and loyalty by remaining by Nira’s side during the violence, resulting in both of them being brutally murdered by Hamas… Unimaginable honor in the face of evil,” saad ni Hassan-Nahoum sa isang interview ng ABS-CBN News.


Sinabi pa ng deputy mayor na mahal na mahal nila ang mga Pilipino sa Israel dahil sila ang nag-aalaga sa mga matatanda pati na mga batang may espesyal na pangangailangan.


“My mother was taken care of by two wonderful nurses and I owe them so much. There are so many people in this country that owe the Filipino community so much… For us, it’s as painful to lose one of you as it is to lose one of us,” ani Hassan-Nahoum.

Mahigit sa 360,000 Palestianians ang na-displace ng digmaan, at tinataya ng Red Cross na magiging isang malaking morge ang ospital sa Gaza Strip dahil sa walang kuryente at paubos na ang medical supplies.


Ayon kay propesor Said Sadek, ng peace studies, Egypt-Japan University, lumalakas ang posibilidad na hindi na makababalik sa Gaza Strip ang mga Palestianian na tumatakas mula rito. Ito ay sinigundahan ng America.
