Ito marahil ang sinasambit ng marami sa ating mga mahihirap na kababayan matapos nilang
malaman na balak magtaas ng presyo ang 13 pabrika ng 217 na pangunahing bilihin.


Ayon sa Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) binabalak magtaas ng presyo ng 13
kumpanya mula P0.10 hanggang P9.75 o isa hangang 10 porsyento.


Sinabi ni DTI USec Ruth Castelo kasali sa mga balak itaas ang presyo ng instant noodles,
sardinas, kape, condensed at evaporated milk, canned meat at sabong panligo.


Ayon kay Castelo ipinaliwanag ng manufacturers ang mas mataas na presyo ng raw materials,
ilan sa mga ito ang ginagamit sa packaging pati na rin logistics.

Kasama raw sa raw materials ang isdang tamban para sa sardinas, harina para sa instant
noodles, deboned meat para sa karneng delata, at skim milk para sa gatas.


Samantala, pinayuhan ni Castelo ang mga mamimili na bumili lamang ng school supplies sa
mga kilalang tindahan o supplier at huwag sa mga naglalako para makasiguro sa kalidad at
tamang presyo.


Ayon sa ilang magulang, bakit daw ang pagkain lang ng mga mahihirap ang laging tinatarget
ng taas-presyo?
