INI-ANUNSYO ng Commission on Elections (Comelec) na ang dating Social Welfare Secretary Erwin Tulfo ay pwede nang umupo bilang nominee ng Anti-Crime and Terrorism Community Involvement and Support (ACT-CIS) Party-list kahit anong oras.
“There is no more issue as to Erwin Tulfo sitting as the third nominee, ascending to that post… At any time, Mr. Tulfo can, in fact, ascend to the post, take his assumption of oath of office, and assume that post,” Comelec spokesperson Rex Laudiangco sa isang news report ng CNN Philippines noong Biyernes.
Noong Mayo 25, ibinasura ng Comelec Second Division ang disqualification case laban kay Tulfo, at binanggit na wala silang hurisdiksyon sa petisyon.
Sinabi ni Comelec Chair George Garcia na ang House of Representatives Electoral Tribunal (HRET) na ang may hurisdiksyon sa kaso laban kay Tulfo dahil nakaupo na ito sa pwesto nang i-file ang
disqualification case.
