33 MSMEs mula MIMAROPA patok sa Panagbenga Festival trade fair

NAGPAKITANG gilas ang 33 micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) sa ginanap kamakailan na trade fair kasabay ng Panagbenga Festival sa Baguio City.

Patok sa mga lokal na turista ang mga produkto tulad ng mga kakanin, home decor, novelty items, processed food, at maraming iba pa.

Ayon sa Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)–MIMAROPA Region, 16 na MSMEs mula sa Oriental Mindoro at 17 naman sa Marinduque ang kanilang tinulungan upang maitampok ang kani-kanilang produkto sa iba pang bahagi ng bansa.

Bago nito, inalalayan muna ang mga negosyante na dumaan sa product development training at assistance sa bantog na programa ng DTI, ang One Town, One Product (OTOP) Next Gen Program at Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program.

Kapansin-pansin sa mga turista ang nasabing mga produkto sa kahabaan ng commercial center ng Baguio City tulad ng mga healthy snacks, local delicacies tulad ng suman sa lihiya at arrowroot cookies, upcycled home decorations, at locally sourced handicrafts.

Ang trade fair na “Session in Bloom” ay inorganisa ng lokal na pamahalaan ng Baguio na nagsilbing isa sa mga tampok na bahagi ng taunang Panagbenga Festival.

Noong nakaraang taon, bumenta sa halos P1-milyon ang mga produktong itinampok sa nasabing trade fair at itinuturing na isang malaking tagumpay sa mga maliliit na negosyante mula sa Oriental Mindoro at Marinduque.
