₱11-B gastos sa Specialty Centers sa 131 ospital

MAHIGIT ₱11 bilyon ang gagastusin ng gobyerno para magtayo nang mas maraming
specialty centers sa mga ospital, ayon kay Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. nitong
Lunes.

Sinabi ng Pangulo na noong Disyembre 2023, nakapagtayo na ang gobyerno ng 131
specialty centers sa buong bansa at nag-allocate pa ng ₱11.12 bilyon para sa
karagdagang centers sa taong ito.

“Noong Aug. 24, 2023, pinirmahan ko ang Republic Act No. 11959 known as the
“Regional Specialty Centers Act”. Ito’y ating specialty centers, specialty hospitals sa
iba’t ibang lugar,” ayon kay Marcos.

Sa ilalim ng batas, itinalaga ang Department of Health (DoH) para magtayo ng
specialty centers sa bawat rehiyon, sa lahat ng ospital sa ilalim ng ahensya.

Bibigyang prayoridad dito ang cancer care, cardiovascular care, lung care, renal care
and kidney transplant, brain and spine care, trauma care at burn care.

Ang specialty centers ay magbibigay ng tulong-medikal gaya ng orthopedic care,
physical rehabilitation medicine, infectious disease and tropical medicine, toxicology,
mental health, geriatric care, neonatal care, dermatology, eye care, pati na rin ear,
nose and throat care.

“Ang programang ito ay in-expand to 204 out of 218 municipalities naman. Ang
katumbas niyan ay 91 percent na ng municipalities ay masasabi nating may nag-aalaga
na,” dagdag pa ng Pangulo.

“Kaya’t napaka importante nito, patuloy pa itong programang ito para naman masabi
natin na talaga nating binabantayan ang kalusugan ng ating mga mamamayan,”
pagtatapos ni Marcos.
