Makati, isa sa 2023 World Smart Cities Award finalist

NAG-IISA sa Pilipinas at maging sa buong Asia-Pacific Region!
Ito ang buong pagmamalaking sinabi ni Makati City Mayor Abby Binay matapos tanghalin na
finalist ang lungsod sa 2023 World Smart Cities Awards (WSCA).


Labis na ikinararangal ng opisyal ng Makati pati na rin mga mamamayan nito, na makasali sa
unang anim na finalists sa prestigious category ng 2023 WSCA.


Sinabi pa ni Binay na ang kanilang entry na Makati City’s IoT Re­volution: Empowering the City
to Become Better Stewards of Energy and Environment ay isang manipestasyon ng
modernong pamamaraan sa paggamit ng “smart initiatives” ng lungsod para harapin ang
mabibigat na mga hamon sa panahong ito.


First time daw na maging finalist ang Makati sa 2023 WSCA. Isa raw itong malaking
achievement dahil sobrang hirap daw makapasok sa katgoryang ito, kung ihahambang sa
kategoryang Leadership, Innovation, at Project.

Makakaharap ng Makati para sa top spot ang mga lungsod ng Sunderland, United Kingdom;
Cascais, Portugal; ?zmir, Turkey; Curitiba, Brazil; at Barranquilla, Colombia.


Sinabi ng tanggapan ng alkalde na dadalo raw si Binay sa awarding ceremonies sa Nobyembre
8, na gaganapin sa Fira Barcelona Gran Via, isang convention center na may sukat na 240,000
square meters at may kapasidad para sa 12,000 katao. Ito ay matatagpuan sa pagitan ng
Barcelona at L’Hospitalet del Llobregat sa Spain.
