1 Milyong puno sa bagong Villar city

Pinangunahan ng negosyante at dating senate president Manuel Villar Jr. ang pasimula nang pagtatanim ng isang milyong puno sa 3,500-ektaryang Villar City nitong Setyembre 30.


May 700 kawani ng Villar Group of Companies ang sumama kay Villar sa pagtatanim ng seedlings at batang pine trees sa bahagi ng malawak na lugar.


Ayon kay Villar, ang inisyatiba para sa kalikasan ay bahagi ng tunguhin ng kumpanya para mataniman ng isang milyong puno ang lungsod, at pagkaraan ng ilang taon, ang mga punong ito ay magbibigay ng ganda at lilim, pati na rin makatulong mapalinis ang hangin sa mga lugar sa sakop ng proyekto.


Sa katulad na paraan, ang malawak na pagtatanim ng puno ay makatutulong para mapahusay ang kontribusyon ng proyekto sa biodiversity, habang tumutulong na mabawasan ang carbon footprint.

This tree-planting activity we have now is just one of the many that we will undertake here in the coming years, as we seek to have at least one million lush trees lining the beautiful natural terrain of this city… fostering a healthier environment for generations to come,”saad ni Villar.


Ang development ng megacity ay sumasakop sa 15 lungsod at bayan sa Metro Manila at malaking
bahagi ng Cavite Province. Sa 3,500 ektarya ng Villar City, umaabot na sa 900 ektarya ang nataniman na ng puno, na ilang bahagi ay mayroon ng mga residente.
