HINDI magbabakasyon ang mga kongresista.


Ito ang pahayag ng House. Patuloy daw silang magsasagawa nang public hearing sa loob ng
isang buwang break ng Kongreso para matapos na ang mga naka-pending na priority bills.


Ayon kay Pangasinan 6D Rep. Marlyn Agabas, pumayag daw ang lahat ng komite na
magsagawa ng meetings o public hearings kahit na naka-recess ang Kongreso.

Ito ay bunsod ng utos ni Speaker Martin Romualdez na dapat daw tiyakin ang mabilis na pagpasa ng mga panukalang batas, lalo na ‘yung naglalayung mabawasan ang impact nang tumataas na presyo ng pangunahing bilihin.


“While we already passed almost all of our priority bills listed under the LEDAC (Legislative-
Executive Development Advisory Council) and the SoNA (State of the Nation Address), we
want to accelerate the passage of other House priority legislations,” paliwanag ni Romualdez.

Sinabi ni Romualdez na ilang bills na inindorso ng Malakanyang, pati na ang LEDAC ay halos
matatapos na, at karamihan dito’y naipasa na ng Kongreso.


Sa 17 priority bills ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. sa kanyang ikalawang SoNA nitong
Hulyo, 10 na ang naipasa ng Kongreso. Kasama na rito ang Local Government Unit Income
Classification Act, the Ease of Paying Taxes Act, at walo pang panukalang batas.
