BIBILI ng mga bagong eroplano ang Cebu Pacific (CebPac) mula sa Boeing o Airbus sa
susunod na tatlo hanggang anim na buwan sa taong ito.


Ayon kay Mike Szucs, CEO ng CebPac, nakikipagnegosasyon na sila sa dalawang kumpanya.
“What we want is the right solution. We will look at the right outcome financially and
operationally,” ayon kay Szucs sa isang interview.


Planong bilhin ng kumpanya ang Boeing 737 Max o Airbus A320. Ang Boeing 737 ay may price tag na US$80million – US$120 million. May seating capacity ito na mula 138 – 204 at may maximum range na 3,850 nautical miles.


Samantalang ang Airbus A320 neo ay may price tag na US$90 million – US$130 million. Ang
seating capacity nito ay hanggang 160, at may maximum range na 3,750 nautical miles.

Nang tanungin kung ilang eroplano ang bibilhin ng CebPac, sinabi ni Szucs, “I would say it’s
going to be a larger order than we’ve ever made in history.”


Hindi raw hahatiin ang order sa dalawang kumpanya, kundi mamimili sila: Boeing o Airbus.
Inaasahang maide-deliver ang mga bagong eroplano simula 2027 hanggang 2028, dahil
inaasahang dadagsa raw ang mga pasahero simula sa taong ito.


Samantala, sinabi ni Engr. William Juan na dapat i-subsidize ng gobyerno ang mga kursong
aeronautical engineering, aircraft pilot, at aircraft mechanic dahil sa inaasahang paglobo ng
airline passengers sa mga susunod na taon.
