US$1.8-B, alok ng Aboitiz sa Coke PH

SA halagang US$1.8 bilyon (mahigit P100 bilyon) nais bilhin ng Aboitiz Equity Ventures Inc.
(AEV) ang lokal na operasyon ng Coca-Cola.


Ayon sa AEV, nakipag-partner ito sa Coca-Cola Europacific Partners PLC (CCEP) para
pumasok sa isang non-binding letter of intent sa The Coca-Cola Company (TCCC), New York,
para mabili ang local na operasyon ng Coca-Cola Beverages Philippines Inc. (CCBP).


Sinabi ng AEV na ang kanilang joint-venture partnership sa CCEP ay 60:40, at ang
kumpanyang European ang siyang may majority control sa kumpanya.

Kapag tinanggap ng TCCC ang alok, ang AEV at CCEP ang siyang hahawak sa operasyon
na may 73 production lines at 19 planta, na magbibigay serbisyo sa mahigit isang milyong
outlets sa buong bansa.
