120 young talents ng TESDA-NCR makikipagtagisan para sa ‘WorldSkills PH 2026’

UMABOT sa 120 young talents mula sa Technical Education and Skills Development Authority–National Capital Region (TESDA NCR) ang makikipagtagisan ng kanilang talento para sa gaganaping WorldSkills Philippines 2026 mula Mayo 25-29, 2026 sa TESDA Multipurpose Gymnasium sa Taguig City.

Ang nasabing event na may temang “One NCR” Skilled, Dynamic, and Future-Ready” ay pinangunahan nina TESDA Director General Jose Francisco “Kiko” Benitez at TESDA NCR Regional Director Angelina M. Carreon.

Inaasahan na magtitipon-tipon ang mga stakeholders mula sa pamahalaan, industriya at technical-vocational education and training (TVET) sectors kasama ang most promising young talents mula sa Kalakhang Maynila para sa isang high-level competition upang ipakita ang kanilang kakayahan sa innovation at global competitiveness.

Ang nasabing mga competitors ay maglalaban-laban sa 35 skills areas sa anim na priority sectors na tututukan ng 98 experts mula sa iba’t ibang industriya at training institutions.

Ilan sa mga ito ay sa larangan ng Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Mechatronics, Graphic Design Technology, Web Technologies, Automobile Technology, Electrical Installations, Additive Manufacturing, Fashion Technology, at Electric Vehicle Technology.

Sinabi ni Carreon na ang partisipasyon ng 76 industry partners at sponsors ay nagpapakita na ang pribadong sektor ay patuloy na nagtitiwala sa TVET na malaki ang tulong sa paglago ng ekonomiya at workforce development.

Ipinakilala sa pagbubukas ng nasabing kompetisyon ang Graphic Design expert na si Demetrio Pable at competitor na si Hannah Krystelle Caintic, gold medalist sa 2025 WorldSkills ASEAN Manila, na magiging kinatawan ng Pilipinas sa 48th WorldSkills Competition sa Shanghai sa darating na September 2026.
