Romualdez pinagbawalang lumipad patungong Singapore

HINDI pinahintulutan ng Office of the Ombudsman si dating House Speaker Martin Romualdez na pumuntang Singapore para sana umano sa isang medical chek-up.

Ito ang sinabi ni Ombudsman Crispin Remulla sa isang press conference ngayong araw, batay sa ipinarating na kahilingan ng opisina ng mambabatas.

Ang dahilan ni Remulla ay na dahil si Romualdez ay kasalukuyang nasa Immigration Lookout Bulletin Order o ILBO.

Matatandaan na bago manumpa si Remulla bilang bagong Ombudsman noong Oktubre 9, 2025, isa sa huling pinirmahan nito bilang Secretary of Justice ay ang ILBO ng 33 opisyal na isinasangkot sa maanomalyang flood control projects.

Ang kahilingan ay mula sa Independent Commission on Infrastructure (ICI) na siyang inatasan ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. na mag-imbestiga sa kurapsyon sa mga proyekto ng Department of Public Works and Highways.

“Hindi namin siya pinaalis. Hindi namin pinayagan na ma-lift ‘yung validity niya kasi nga naka-look out order because we’ve been investigating him actively. Baka hindi na bumalik eh. You know, we don’t want that to happen,” ang pahayag ni Remulla.

Idinagdag pa ni Remulla na inindorso rin nila sa Anti-Money Laundering Council na i-freeze ang asset ni Romuladez dahil posibleng money laundering ang unang kaso na isasampa nila sa mambabatas.
