Libreng hapunan sa Cainta araw-araw muling inilunsad

ISANG linggo matapos maka-rekober sa ikalawang operasyon sa puso, muling binuhay ni Cainta, Rizal mayor Kit Nieto ang libreng hapunan araw-araw sa 300 indigent residents.

Mula Lunes hanggang Biyernes tuwing alas-5 ng hapon, umiikot ang pantry team ng lokal na pamahalaan upang pangasiwaan ang binansagang “CAINTAyo” feeding program. 

Muling sinimulan ang nasabing programa noong nakaraang Biyernes sa San Buena Compound sa Brgy. Sto. Domingo at isusunod naman ang mga informal settlers na nasa Gruar Compound.

Upang matiyak ang kalinisan at kaayusan, ginamit ng lokal na pamahalaan ang One Arena na nagsisilbing kusina upang lutuin at ihanda ang pagkain na pinangungunahan ng General Services department para makatipid. 

“Buffet-style ang ginagawa namin para maiwasan ang labis na pagkuha ng pagkain at masasayang lang dahil sa tira-tira,” ang pahayag ni Nieto.

Ayon pa sa alkalde buong taon nila ito gagawin upang makabawas sa alalahanin pagdating sa pagkain ng buong pamilya lalo na sa panahong ito ng nararanasang krisis. 

Sabi ni Nieto minarapat niyang gamitin ang mga tauhan ng lokal na pamahalaan upang aktuwal din nilang maranasan kung papaano maglingkod sa labas ng munisipyo. 

Nilinaw pa ng punong bayan na hindi umano niya pagbibigyan ang mga selfie kasama siya upang hindi aniya mahaluan ng pulitika.

Ang CAINTayo feeding program ay unang inilunsad bago ang COVID-19 pandemic sa kahabaan ng Westbank Road, brgy. San Andres.
