NON-bank financial institution South Asialink Finance Corporation (SAFC) has expanded its presence in Northern Mindanao, opening four new branches during the third quarter to capitalize on the region’s economic momentum.

The new locations—situated in Iligan City, Cagayan de Oro City, Malaybalay City, and Valencia City—bring SAFC’s consumer and commercial loan products directly to local entrepreneurs and residents.

The move comes as Northern Mindanao experiences sustained commercial momentum, following a 4.9% economic growth rate reported by the Philippine Statistics Authority in 2025.

“Our commitment is to be closer to more communities and businesses. These new SAFC branches in Northern Mindanao strengthen our ability to understand our customers’ needs and provide financing solutions that help turn their ambitions into reality,” said SAFC President and CEO Maricel D. Dejongoy.

Through these branches, local vehicle owners, transport operators, and small business owners can access SAFC’s financial products.

Offerings include new and used vehicle financing, Sangla OR/CR, the BiyaHERO Loan for transport operators, property-backed Sangla Titulo

The Northern Mindanao openings formed half of a larger eight-branch expansion during the quarter, which also included new sites in Antipolo City, San Jose (Occidental Mindoro), Paniqui, and Capas (Tarlac).

The additions push SAFC’s total nationwide network to over 100 branches.

Looking ahead, Dejongoy confirmed that the institution plans to maintain its expansion trajectory.

“Every new branch brings us closer to the communities that need accessible financing the most,” she said.

“As we continue to grow, our focus remains on making financing easier for every Filipino we serve and helping them build better futures for their families, livelihoods, and businesses,” added Dejongoy.

With over two decades in operation, SAFC remains a core player in the Philippine non-bank financial sector, primarily supporting micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) through accessible lending solutions.
