₱150-B Malaysian telco project, aprubado ng BoI

ININDORSO ng Board of Investments (BoI) ang EDOTCO Towers, Inc. ng Malaysia, para
mapabilis ang processing para sa bagong 5G mobile broadband networks.


Mag-i-invest ang kumpanya ng ₱150-bilyon para sa 25,000 telecommunications
(telco) towers na pwedeng gamitin ng iba’t ibang networks.


“This strategic deployment spans urban and rural areas, addressing the needs of
mobile network operators and aligning with government efforts to enhance mobile
network access and internet penetration in underserved and unserved regions,” ayon
sa BoI.


Noong 2020, ini-release ng the Dept. of Information and Communications Technology
(DICT) ang guidelines para sa sharing ng common towers ng iba’t ibang telco providers.

BASAHIN  McDo ibinida ang 17,000 bagong mga empleyado noong 2022


Ayon sa 2022 report ng EDOTCO Group nai-project na makapagtatayo sila ng 30,500
shared towers sa bansa sa 2025.


“The project will play a huge role in introducing new technologies such as 5G mobile
broadband networks and large-scale Internet,” ayon pa sa BoI.


May plano ang Malaysian company na gumamit ng hindi kombensyunal na energy
sources gaya ng photovoltaic systems o solar energy, wind, biomass, fuel cells, energy
storage systems at hybrid solutions. Dahil dito, mapabibilis ang pagpo-proseso ng
papeles ng EDOTCO dahil pasok ito sa green energy category.
