Halos 50,000 indibidwal ang dumating sa Pilipinas noong bisperas ng bagong taon.

Ayon sa Bureau of Immigration, naitala ang 49,892 arrivals noong December 31, 2023, kung saan, 34% dito ay mga dayuhan.

Ibinahagi pa ng departamento na nakapag-proseso ito ng 1.6 million arrivals sa buwan ng Disyembre, kung saan nahigitan nito ang kanilang projection na 1.5 million.

Ipinagmalaki naman ni Immigration Commissioner Norman Tansingco na nanunumbalik na ang popularidad ng bansa bilang foreign tourist destination.
