AI pwede bang gamiting sa kampanya?

DAPAT nga bang payagan ang paggamit ng AI o artificial intelligence sa kampanya?
Ito ang hiniling ni Sen. Francis “Tol” Tolentino sa Commission on Elections (Comelec), na
dapat daw itong maglabas ng opisyal na pahayag kung pwedeng gumamit ng AI sa propaganda
at campaign materials sa darating na eleksyon.


Ayon kay Tolentino, pwede raw lumabag sa “principle of truthfulness” ang paggamit ng AI na
magpapabago sa impresyon ng mukha ng isang kandidato. Kaya kailangang gumawa ng
research at pag-aaral ang Comelec para makapaglabas ng patakaran tungkol dito.


Pwedeng baguhin ng AI ang itsura o mukha ng tao, kaya nga ito’y iniutos ni Defense Secretary
Gibo Teodoro na bawal itong gamitin.

Dapat maging totoo lang ang mga kandidato dahil ang paggamit ng AI ay may halong
panlilinlang, dagdag pa ni Tolentino.


Samantala, ayon kay Comelec Commissioner Rey Bulay, ang mungkahi ni Tolentino tungkol sa
pagbabalangkas ng mga patakaran sa paggamit ng AI, ay posibleng himayin ng Comelec bago
ang 2025 midterm elections.


Idinagdag pa ni Bulay na pwedeng i-consider na isang “misrepresentation” ang paggamit ng AI,
na pwedeng maging isa sa mga basehan para makansela ang COC o certificate of candidacy ng
isang kandidato.
