P270-b infra projects, inaprubahan ni Marcos

INAPRUBAHAN nitong Biyernes ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ang mga programa at
proyekto na nagkakahalaga ng P269.7 billion.


Sa isang press conference sa Malacañang, sinabi ni Socioeconomic Planning Sec. Arsenio
Balisacan na inaprubahan na ng Pangulo ang mga programa at proyekto na naglalayung
palakasin ang turismo at pagbutihin ang health-care system ng bansa.


Ang mga inaprubahang proyekto – kasama ang iba pa, ay bahagi ng P9-trillion “Build Better
More” infrastructure program ng Marcos Administration.


Ang mga proyektong ito ay magpapalakas ng ekonomiya at magbubukas na maraming high-
quality na trabaho, kaayon ng medium-term development goals ng bansa.


Una sa mga naaprubahang proyekto ng NEDA o National Economic and Development
Authority ang P4.5-billion rehabilitation ng Bohol-Panglao International Airport, na
popondohan sa pamamagitan ng public-private partnership (PPP). Sa ngayon ang paliparan ay
makakapaglingkod lang sa dalawang milyong pasahero kada taon.

Ito ay inaasahang madaragdan nang halos doble, o 3.9 milyon na pasahero, kapag natapos na ang rehabilitasyon.


Isa pang PPP project na inaprubahan ng Pangulo ang dialysis center para sa Baguio General
Hospital and Medical Center. Ang P393 milyon na retrofitting ng mga dormitory ng ospital ay
kasama sa gagawing dialysis center.


Ayon sa Brabo News research, sa taong ito, tinatayang mayroong halos apat na milyong Pilipino
ang may diabetes, pero maaaring umabot na sa 7.20 milyon ang mayroong diabetes kung
isasama ang pagtaya sa iba pang hindi nagpapa-check-up pero may mga sintomas nito. Dahil
dito, kinakailangan pa ang mas maraming dialysis centers sa bansa.


Samantala, inaprubahan din ng Pangulo ang Cebu Bus Rapid Transit project, na
mangangailangan ng ponding P28.78 bilyon mula sa dating P16.3 billion dahil sa pagdaragdag
ng mga istasyon at terminals.
