Ph Uutang ng US$1.14-B sa World Bank

LUMAGDA ang Pilipinas ng apat na kasunduan sa World Bank ng may kabuuang
US$1.14 bilyon. Kasama rito ang US$750 milyon para masuportahan ang reporma sa
badyet at palakasin ang proteksyon ng kapaligan at talaghay (resilience) para sa klima.


Kasama sa kasunduan ang US$276 milyon para pondahan ang pagpapahusay ng sektor
ng agrikultura at pangingisda, at ang US$110 para badyetan ang pagpapahusay ng
edukasyon, ayon sa ating finance department.


Ang Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. na siya ring Kalihim ng Agrikultura, ay nangako na
magsagawa ng reporma para mapahusay ang sektor ng agrikultura at pangingisda, na sa
nakalipas na mga taon ay umabot lamang sa 10 percent ng ating gross domestic product.
