37 senior citizens sa Caloocan City, tumanggap ng livelihood package

Aabot sa 37 senior citizens sa Caloocan City ang napagkalooban ng livelihood package mula sa Office for Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), at National Commission for Senior Citizens (NCSC).

Nakatanggap ng 19 sako ng bigas bilang kabuhayan ang naturang mga senior citizen at kumpletong nego-food carts bilang panimula ng negosyo.

Nagpasalamat naman si Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan sa tanggapan ng OSCA, DOLE at NCSC sa kanilang programa na nagbibigay ng oportunidad sa mga mamamayan at mabigyan ng kabuhayan ang mga senior citizens.

“Noon pa man, pangako ko na ang pagbibigay ng maayos at disenteng pagkakakitaan para sa mga Batang Kankaloo. Siyempre kasama po rito ang senior citizens na sa kabila ng kanilang edad ay nananatiling aktibo at nais pa ring kumita upang suportahan ang kanilang araw-araw na pangangailangan,” ayon kay Mayor Along.

Hinimok naman ng alkalde ang lahat na makiisa sa livelihood at employment opportunities na ibinibigay ng gobyerno na nakalaan para sa mga residente ng lungsod.
