Alternative treatment sa cancer—Robin

“BUKSAN ang kaisipan at maghanap ng alternatibong paggamot sa cancer.”

Ito ang panawagan ni Sen. Robinhood “Robin” Padilla nitong Huwebes sa mga duktor, alang-alang sa mahihirap na cancer patients na hindi makayanan ang malaking gastos sa paggamot.

“Sana po magkaroon tayo ng mga alternative na paggamot sa treatment sa mga cancer patients, pain management, dahil sa ngayon talaga, hirap na hirap po ang ating mga kababayan pagdating sa medical treatment,” pahayag ni Padilla sa Philippine College of Radiology Convention sa Pasay City, kamakailan.

Isinusulong ni Padilla ang legalisasyon ng “compassionate use” ng medical cannabis (marijuana), kabilang ang para sa pain management.

Ayon kay Padilla, panahon na para “buksan ang ating kaisipan, kung ano ang ginagawa ng mga First World countries pagdating sa cancer treatment at pain management pati na sa iba pang klaseng sakit.”

Iginiit ni Padilla na napakalaking suliranin ang cancer lalo na’t dumadami ang mga cancer patient sa Pilipinas at sa buong mundo.

“Kawawa ang mga mahihirap na kababayan natin na walang kakayahan na magkaroon ng kung anong napapala ng may pera,” aniya pa.
