Dagdag-singil sa kuryente ng Meralco, ipatutupad ngayong Pebrero

Ayon kay Atty. Jose Ronald Valles, hepe ng Regulatory Management Office ng Meralco, mas mataas pa dapat ang generation charge ngayong buwan pero napakiusapan ng Meralco ang mga supplier nito na ipagpaliban na muna ang paniningil ng ilang bahagi ng generation costs.

Magpapatupad ng dagdag-singil sa kuryente ang Manila Electric Company o Meralco ngayong buwan.

Batay sa abiso ng Meralco, ₱0.57 kada kilowatt hour ang karagdagang singil bunga ng pagsirit ng generation charge, taxes, system loss at feed sa tariff allowance.

Dahil dito, nasa ₱11.9168 per kWh na ang overall electricity rate sa isang typical household.

Katumbas ito ng ₱115 pesos na dagdag-singil para sa mga residential customer na kumokonsumo ng 200 kilowatt-hour, habang ₱287 pesos naman para sa mga kumokonsumo ng 500 kilowatt-hour.
