₱1K dagdag sweldo sa 220,000 kasambahay sa Calabarzon

MAHIGIT sa 200,000 domestic workers o kasambahay sa Cavite, Laguna, Batangas,
Rizal, at Quezon (Calabarzon) ang makikinabang sa dagdag-sahod na ipinatupad ng
DoLE, kahapon, Pebrero 3.


Ayon sa Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB), Department of
Labor and Employment (DoLE), may kabuuang 233,909 domestic workers sa rehiyon
ang tatanggap ng ₱1,000 dagdag-sweldo sa Pebrero 19, o 15 araw matapos mai-
anunsyo sa pahayagan ng utos.


Sa ilalim ng Wage Order No. RB-IVA-DW-04, ang bagong minimum na sweldo ng mga
kasambahay kapag live-in ay magiging ₱6,000 bawat buwan para sa mga lungsod at
first class municipalities at ₱5,000 para sa iba pang municipalities.

Ayon sa datos ng DoLE, sa 233,909 domestic workers, 28% o 65,408 ang stay-in.


Ayon sa ilang observers, kailangang paigtingin ng DoLE ang pagmomonitor nang
compliance o pagsunod sa Wage Order, dahil anomang pagtataas ng sahod kapag
hindi rin lang naipatutupad ay balewala.
