LUMAGDA sa isang kasunduan kamakailan ang Converge ICT Solutions (Converge) at
DITO Telecommunity Corp. (DITO) para magamit nila ang terrestrial at submarine fiber
optic cable assets ng bawat kompanya upang mapalawak pa ang kanilang serbisyo.

Ayon kay Ernesto Alberto, CEO, DITO, na makikinabang ang kani-kanilang subscribers sa
pagsasanib ng infrastructure investments ng dalawang kompanya.

“Under the spirit of forging alliances and healthy competition, this agreement is a
testament to both our organizations’ shared commitment to provide the best user
experience that our customers deserve – whether consumer or enterprise,” ayon kay
Alberto.

Noong Nobyembre 2023, ang kabuuang fiber assets ng Converge ay umabot sa 682,000 fiber kilometers na naglilingkod sa mahigit 16.7 tahanan, o 62.3 percent ng kabuuang
households sa bansa.

BASAHIN  5K PDLs, palalayain bago mag-Pasko

Samantalang ang DITO ay may mahigit na 7,000 cell sites na nakapaglilingkod sa 80
percent ng populasyon sa mahigit 850 lungsod at bayan. Mayroon itong mahigit 9.5
milyong subscribers na may access sa 4G at 5G networks.

Ayon kay DITO Telecommunity Corp. DITO chief technology officer, naitala na
ng dalawang kompanya ang anim na lokasyon ng kanilang network sharing.
