129 Milyong pasahero ang sumakay ng MRT 3

Umabot sa mahigit 129 milyong pasahero ang pinaglingkuran ng Metro Rail Transit
Line 3 (MRT-3) nitong nakaraang taon, 30 percent na mas mataas ito kaysa noong
2022.


Sinabi ng MRT-3 na ang kabuuang mananakay noong 2023 ay umabot sa 129,030,158,
o 31.22 percent na mas mataas kaysa bilang na 98,330,683 noong 2022.


Tumaas din ng 30 percent ang average na bilang ng mananakay sa bawat araw mula
sa 273,141 pasahero noong 2022, na naging 357,198 nitong 2023.

Samantala, nagpasakay din ng libre sa 220,706 pasahero ang MRT-3 nitong
nakaraang taon.


Ang pagtaas ng bilang ng mga mananakay ay nagsimula matapos ang rehabilitasyon ng
MRT-3 noong Disyembre 2021, na nagpabilis sa byahe nito magmula sa average na 30
kilometers per hour (kph) na nadoble sa 60 kph.

Dahil sa mahusay na serbisyo nito, pinalawig din ang kontrata hanggang 2025 ng
MRT-3 sa maintenance provider nito na Sumitomo-MHI-TESP— ang orihinal na
manufacturer at maintenance provider.
