Nakapagtala ang Department of Health ng limang amputation cases dahil sa fireworks injuries mula nitong December 25 hanggang 26.

Batay sa pinakahuling surveillance report ng kagawaran, naputulan ng daliri at kamay ang mga biktima, kung saan kabilang dito ang tatlong menor de edad at dalawang adult, na pawang mga lalaki.

Pangunahi ng sanhi ng nito ang paggamit ng whistle bombs, “boga,” “plapla,” “five-star,” at “Goodbye Philippines.”

Kabilang ang naitalang amputation cases sa 24 na bagong kaso ng fireworks-related injuries, kung saan edad lima hanggang 52 ang mga biktima.

Sa ngayon ay umabot na sa 52 ang  kabuuang bilang ng fireworks-related injuries sa bansa.
