MARIING kinondena kahapon ni Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri ang paulit-ulit na
pambobomba ng tubig sa tatlong barko ng Pilipinas sa West Philippine Sea (WPS).


Hiniling ni Zubiri kay Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. na pauwiin na ang Chinese ambassador bilang tanda ng protesta sa kawalang-aksyon nito sa ginawang Chinese Coast Guard at militia vessels sa tatlong barko ng bansa na nagdala ng supplies sa ating mga mangingisda sa WPS.


“I urge President Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr. to send the current Chinese Ambassador
home. He has done nothing to address the continued attacks of his government on our troops and on our people,” ayon kay Zubiri.


Ito’y sinabi ng senador matapos na ireport ng Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) kahapon na isa sa mga barko ay nagtamo nang seryosong pagkasira ng makina dahil sa insidente.

Matatandaan na nitong Sabado, ang barko ng China ay paulit-ulit na binomba ng tubig sa loob ng halos tatlong oras ang mga barko ng Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) na nagsasagawa lamang ng humanitarian mission para mag-deliver ng supplies sa mga mangingisdang Pilipino malapit sa Bajo de Masinloc.


“They have gone from unlawfully blocking us from navigating our own waters to now
deliberately damaging our vessels and endangering the lives of our people,” ayon pa sa senador.


Bukod kay Zubiri at iba pang mambabatas, kinondena rin ng mga ambassador ng ibang bansa ang agresibong aksyon ng China sa mga barko ng Pilipinas sa loob ng WPS.
